  1. All these pictures show that polar bears are extremely remarkable animals(as every animal and living organism of cource) And they are thought of becoming extinct withing the next twenty years because of their losing their habitat...
  2. Agree with only green no gray.... We shouldn't be asking what we can do about avoiding the difficult coming years when we talk all the time about recycle, use of public means of transport etc etc...We all know what we have to do,it's small easy tips of our daily life that will make the difference, and we should all start now, because we can't wait for the governments to wake up
  3. Welcome to the forum, nice to have a physics among us,surely you know more about energy and staff I think it's a cool initiative to have solar panels at schools, hope many others follow this example...
  4. During the last decades, the byproducts of humanity's activities have altered most of the earth's characteristics. As a concequence, many sources that used to exist in large quantities now face depletion. Two of the most famous of such sources are oxygen and water. To begin with oxygen, it is highly connected with forests and their mass deforestration. Whenever a law tries to protect them, fires are set up. Concequently, we have the greenhouse effect, which is the increase of gasses such as carbon dioxide at the earth's atmosphere, reducing the oxygen and increasing temperature. Water is a huge problem too, heading to a great worsening. Fresh water is highly polluted and wasted for no good reason on daily basis. Therefore, it becomes less and less every day. So we need to take measures. Everybody can contribute to tackle both problems. Besides the usual tips like careful use of water, it's vital that all houses, especially at the city centre, have lots of plants,in the gardens, at balconies, on terraces. In this way much of the emissions of carbon dioxide are taken away by the plants to produce oxygen. But having plants means bigger consumption of water, which we also want to save, so what do we do? Fortunately there are plants that need little water. Those usually have small and narrow leaves, and don't produce much oxygen( for example cactuses). So the trick is to have plants that have as wide leaves as possible, in combination with needing little water. Such plants are different from country to country, so we have to visit a good flowershop and get informed of which ones to choose.
  5. We are all pollutants onlygreennogray... I don't think anyone is happy about what we did,but some of them are happy with the money they made
  6. Those are the main things we would like to achieve, but basically can't. People are now so depended on all those things they buy. So what we should actually propose,is to stop buying so much, stop driving so much.We can reduce our needs and slowly have results.I hopt all of us do it,we recommend it all the time but you can never tell that every person of the forum does it.
  7. Welcome to the forum!I don't think that such blogs are pointless,it's really nice and useful to exchange views and information. These blogs don't have a direct action, but they help in their own way too.Let us not underestimate their value...
  8. Those pictures are soooo awesome,I really love them. Though we shouldn't take them for granted, polar bears rarely feel anything else but hunger and mother love. Still,it is really nice to see they can feel like us.They are so cute even if they are not very friendly.I hope we can do something to help them, the melting of ice affects them so much, they can't find food.
  9. It was far worse than the way it is shown at the picture, but anyway,I hope that after our light rainfall it's going to be OK...
  10. Yeah, but it doesn't last long...and it's not popular in my country, maybe we don't have suitable locations or something. No,come to think of it,I prefer rafting...first thing next summer!
  11. OK,if you know quite enough we will do that... Bungee jumping is quite nice too, though it last for only few minutes...
  12. Yeah it is most illuminating! Greenpeace has a nice guide about how green every electronic company is.Useful to have it in the site.
  13. Of course they suck,I was telling you that all the time! What on earth can a homeless person do with 3000 euros??And you know most of them wont get this sum, they will get less...
  14. So sick indeed, they are mental, that's what they are
  15. I was a day late or something, but nontheless I want to say happy birthday to the best administrator ever!! Happy birthday Simon!
  16. I don't get it...How could killing gorillas help them prove that? They must be really idiots... Onlygreennogray,if the police had failed to arrest them although they had tried to do so,they would hardly let photographers take photos of them sitting peacefully next to the poachers....
  17. It can't be much worse Simon, all our forests have been burnt...Maybe in other countries the problem isn't that big,so they can have worse...But we...I don't think we can reach a lower bottom
  18. Yeah,I think I saw this reaction of yours my Daim...And you are totally right, though you must admit you don't get anything by not talking...
  19. I think there would be a mention in the article about the police finding out what happened and arresting the poachers...Police want to show that they do a great job don't they? There would be a mention I think...
  20. Besides, there is another problem concerning the melting of ice.The water of the iceburgs is mixed with the salt water of the sea,and alters it's substances.Small organisms(plankton) can't stand the change and die...So all the other creatures that depend on them will die along with them...
  21. Well, here are some of the best(or shall I say worst) pictures I found...I leave all the comments to you guys,I can say anything more...
  22. No Simon,I have the same opinion...if there was a law saying all burnt forests are to be remade they wouldn't have any motive to burn them..But they wont make such a law,cos they are stupid useless aliens
  23. If it was illegal poachers they wouldn't have taken pictures of the bodies, with the presence of the army...
  24. I agree.Surely we want to save energy by changing really pollutant habbits, but the real difference lies on small things, like changing light bulbs,recycling...
  25. Seems too dangerous for my taste...I wil just stick to my basketball..
