Green Songs

I am trying to create a playlist containing songs with some sort of "green" message. Care to help?

I didn't know of any songs that had a green message until I read this post. Thanks for sharing. I'll look up some more and come back to add them.

Concrete Jungle is a very interesting rap by TimTimz. He's from NY and the rap is about the newer generations not know what it's like to run through fields of various plants. It's a bit corny, but it's a nice message.

There are some local earth songs i know but i would not include it here since you would not know it.

Anything by Earth Mama, especially Downstream and For Alex (A Little Gentler).

I had the pleasure of spending a weekend with Earth Mama at an In Praise of Mountain Women gathering a few years ago, and her music is phenomenal. She emceed the talent show that year, which was a lot of fun. :)

We have some in our local language, I do love Michael Jackson Earth song. I don't think if a week goes by without me listening to it or watching it. The message in it is very simple and strong.

Much of folk singer John Denver's inspiring, feel-good music focused on the breathtaking majesty and pristine beauty of the Great American Smoky Mountains of Colorado.

Rocky Mountain High, The Eagle and the Hawk, Country Roads ...

But for me -- "Calypso" is so extra-special ... "To live on the earth, we must learn from the sea..."
