  3. Russia says they found drugs aboard the Arctic Sunrise: http://edition.cnn.com/2013/10/09/world/europe/russia-greenpeace-arctic-drugs/ Sounds fishy to me, if it was pot I'd be more ok with it... But opium and morphine, seriously?!
  4. 'My country needs your knowledge and expertise,' prime minister Abe says. It must be pretty bad if the Japanese are asking for help. But, Japan just won the 2020 Olympics bid because Abe gave his word that Fukushima was under control!

  6. This is an interesting thread that is starting to get a bit offtopic.... Global warming is already a scientific fact. There's no point in arguing about it anymore.

  8. This is crazy! Russia Builds Floating Nuclear Power Plants: http://ens-newswire.com/2013/07/17/russia-builds-floating-nuclear-power-plants/ So much for the lessons of Fukushima. Never mind oil spills, the Russian Federation is preparing an energy initiative that, if it has problems, will inject nuclear material directly into the maritime environment.
  9. This is sad to hear. I actually thought the Sierra Club was a trustworthy ngo who could stand above greed.

  12. Meatless Mondays was all the rage here a while back. But these days nit so much. Instead everyone seems to be following that meat-only diet so they can lose weight. :/
  13. Let people decide what they want to do with their own bodies. Preferably without any outside interference or skewed values.
  14. Considering all the plastic waste a carrier bag tax wouldnt be that bad imo. Do you have any sources to back up your post?
  15. I browse the forum on my phone most of the time so I couldn't really say if the speed has improved for me. But what happened to the white grey forum?
  16. This does not surprise me, those rich bankers can never be trusted!
  17. I don't believe in heaven or hell. Bur I don't know what happens when someone dies, probably nothing, just darkness... :]
  18. What kind of products are you selling?
  19. Milton: its an opinion piece by a weblog, not an scientific report. That said the criticism from Grist seems about right imo.

  23. I'm with you, I don't like my work either. It would be so much better if we all had only a three-day work week. Then we would have more time to enjoy our short lives. =)
  24. Nah dude, that's completely bogus. I've broken several CFLs, they are completely safe. The problem is that you can't just throw these lightbulbs in the trash, you have to dispose of them properly.
  25. Thanks for posting! Now I got another reason for why I should stop drinking soda... :)
