  1. Spotify is a new way to enjoy music. Simply download and install, before you know it you’ll be singing along to the genre, artist or song of your choice. With Spotify you are never far away from the song you want. There are no restrictions in terms of what you can listen to or when. Forget about the hassle of waiting for files to download and fill up your hard drive before you get round to organising them. Spotify is instant, fun and simple. Because music is social, Spotify allows you to share songs and playlists with friends, and even work together on collaborative playlists, Friday afternoon in the office might never be the same again! We’re music lovers like everyone else. We want to connect millions of people with their favorite songs by creating a product that people love to use. We respect creativity and believe in fairly compensating artists for their work. We’ve cleared the rights to use the music you’ll listen to in Spotify. Check it out: http://www.spotify.com/en It's pretty decent actually. Not much advertisement either so far. And it's Swedish. I got 2 invitations. So just post here if you want one! :)
  2. That's the problem. Instead of companies and factories paying for their pollution they have via their corporate lobbyists managed to offset everything onto ordinary people like you and me. A fine example of this is the new EU climate deal: "Basically, Europe just decided to off-set about two thirds of its own greenhouse gas emissions, to have consumers pay for emissions permits that polluting companies get for free and to avoid supporting poorer countries in the fight to climate change. This is not quite the third industrial revolution we were expecting. The result of this race to the bottom is that Europe will reduce its own greenhouses gas emissions significantly less than the proclaimed 20% target by 2020."
  3. That comment holds some truth. But you can't say that people that are under siege and under an illegal occuption isn't allowed to fight back. What if USA or China occupied parts of Canada while terrorising the inhabitants. Wouldn't you fight back?
  4. Happy New Year! What do you remember from 2008? What do you wish for 2009?
  5. "Innocent victims" you say? Of course are all deaths sad. But you cant honestly say that the Israelis are innocent! These so called "innocent" Israelis first started with an ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians, then 40 years of illegal occupation and now they have even built an illegal wall of shame to keep the Palestinians out from their own occupied land. And then I haven't even counted in the constant bullying, aggression and racism towards the Palestinians.
  6. It's easy to point fingers at people like Treehugging_family. But what kind of "green" choices have you two made that impacts your way of life in a big way?
  7. Nah, it's not hard to find lunatics on the Internet!
  8. It seems our christmas holiday gets smaller and smaller for every year that goes. It was years ago since we had a real christmas tree, usually we just buy some spruce branches, but this year we had none of that. No extreme airport-style holiday decorating lightning either. Mostly because we live in an apartment, but also because it's rare to decorate your house with lights over here. It seems only Americans are fixed to insane levels with this whole lighting idea.. When it comes to presents we just had one each on Christmas eve. A book and some spa products and such... We usually focus everything on having a pleasant time and eating good organic food instead.
  9. What is your view on the current Israeli aggression in Gaza where hundreds of people so far have been killed and injured by Israeli bombs?
  10. You cant come up with anyone better, like IPCC, than nut-case Christopher Booker? The Bias and Logical Fallacies of Christopher Booker’s ‘Freezing Heat’ The patron saint of charlatans is again spreading dangerous misinformation From wikipedia:
  11. "Its beats being in the Gulag." :cute:
  12. My new avatar comes from Red Alert 3 Lots of talk there but little to no content or evidence to support your claims. :sceptical: La Nina temporarily cools down global temperatures during first half of 2008 Very warm 2008 makes this the hottest decade in recorded history by far
  13. Ah come on. Stop this. If you wont, or cant, give us any evidence to back up your claims then please dont post comments like that one. The scientific consensus is that climate change is man-made.
  14. Now dont drag me into a discussion about "religion". I just felt for hijacking this thread with my nonsense :cute:
  15. Indeed they are. They strike early in the morning when it's still dark..
  16. Welcome to the forum Rachel! Hopefully you will have a great time here. If you got any questions dont hesitate to ask.
  17. KKK are just a group of misguided people who only wants to share some love during the winter... Oh.. Wait.. Maybe they ain't like the ones we have back here in Sweden? :halo:
  18. I guess none of you have been unemployed or so sick you haven't been able to work lately? It's not something you can make a living out off. It's just an ugly idea some people have that sick and unemployed people somehow have chosen being so.
  19. Sure, we do have implemented a lot of "green" things and such. But the whole climate change mindset is missing, if you know what I mean. For me it seems that people in the UK are more aware of climate change and the dangers it'll bring. They "get it". And just like the BNP nazi "political" party in the UK is growing so does Sverigedemokraterna (shortly translated to: "Swedishdemocrats") back here in Sweden. The right-wing parties and ideology is growing once more in Europe. Hopefully people will come to their senses before things turns real ugly. But I doubt that. Thats not hard! Just go with the most fuel saving car, i.e, the non-american car. There is no need to support any “foot-dragging, planet-eating spongers”. Or do like me. Dont get a car. Heck, I dont even have a drivers license. :D
  20. Seems like a great car to have running in the city (until they hopefully ban private motoring there!). That is just another example of how far the public in the UK have come in the understanding of climate change. I really admire you guys over there. Unfortunately, like everywhere else, your Government is not following your lead. :(
  21. Ahh come on Mountainhiker. You are smarter than this. Dont try to twist around basic climate science.
  22. That's lies without any scientific support backing it.
  23. I wouldnt say that "around 5 seconds" is a difference... <_<
  24. Welcome to the forum! If you got any questions dont hesitate to ask. :)
