  1. Have to agree, not sure that 100% vegetarian is a mark of being "green", or will make a difference in the long run. Maybe a major shift to organically raised cattle should be considered....
  2. Well, one of the problems is getting all of the political parties in line. None of them really buy into the major changes.
  3. Will do some checking, but wait, checked out that site, surely there must be some mistake, they have Hillary as receiving money from big oil - gasp!
  4. Well, coal IS an energy form so that much is true, however, how much pot do you have to smoke before you can think it is "clean". But wait, they are politicians and their lips are moving, and you know what that means!
  5. Could well be like the great scientific debates of the past: flat earth, sun revolving around the earth and many more!
  6. Better than the alternative!
  7. Just happened to take a second look at the planes, I have seen planes leave bigger smoke trails that that in landing an burning massive amounts of rubber. But, maybe they count burned rubber as releasing organic material back into nature?
  8. And it appears that Obama is not going to fare any better in this area, seem to be too busy throwing rocks to put any real meat on the bones of the race.
  9. And maybe even more so considering that humans can populate quicker, and with less energy!
  10. Saddly, many of the people you see at the "green" stores are buying organic coffee not because it is better for the environment, but because of the status symbol of serving organic coffee..... But, that said, I like your sense of humor!
  11. Did a search and could not find it in either document. Does seem like it could have been in one of them, given both were looking at the economic side of the question.
  12. Having seen this pic before, after all is said, still pretty cool picture......
  13. Well, maybe just the smoke!
  14. Would be interesting to find the source and how they came up with that - Greenpeace does not seem as well quoted as they used to be.
  15. Bluenoser, big 10-4. I have been using this setup for about 3 years. Have a USB extender cable that gives me a USB port right beside the ergonomic keyboard for swaping USB drives (keep projects separated on different drives). But, since I have a wireless DSL router, if I want to I can go out on the screened in porch and surf in the cool breeze(when its a tad warmer than now).
  16. The solution is to have a docking station that you plug the laptop into. The company I work for ships the docking station with any laptop. You can plug any large hi-rez monitor into the docking station along with a regular or ergo keyboard. Also increased the number of USB ports.
  17. Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers the individual subordinate to the interests of the state, party or society as a whole. Fascists seek to forge a type of national unity, usually based on (but not limited to) ethnic, cultural, racial, religious attributes. The key attribute of Fascism is intolerance of others: other religions, languages, political views, economic systems, cultural practices, etc. The term is now used more as an epithet than as a term for any existing systems. The term hardly applies to any party in the US, except for maybe Hillary who seems to be a party within a party To get back to the question, Hillary has made a point of putting a lot of distance between her and Gore. You may not see the political posturing that Gore uses in the US, but he does a great disservice to the issues by being playing the "chicken little" role to the hilt. You will note the she (Hillary) has said ZERO about climate change, global warming, etc.
  18. Well, lets see, you asked why I added Sweden?
  19. Well, your location says Sweden, so, one would thing that is where you live Or is that where you work?
  20. The server itself is running, you can ping it and get a response. Could well be that the webserver software is broke since it cannot responded with a default page at the base level. It may come back yet....
  21. Sweden - England not much difference if you think any party in the US is Facist. Appears that you are locked into an anit-American mindset with little grasp of the reality of what people in the US really think.
  22. Part of the problem is they really don't know enough about it to know if it is going extinct or not, let alone what it would take to save it if it was .
  23. hardly any better and clearly no major party in the USA or England for that matter is "facist".
  24. Words were pretty good though! Maybe the site will come back......
  25. Your are way off on that comparison. The Republicans are not "far right" and trying to compare them to the nazi party shows how little you know of what the nazi party was and stood for. You need to read something other than democratic rags....
