The UK Green Film Festival in association with Friends of the Earth presents Love Green

London 2013. (1st/2nd June)

This year we are raising the stakes and pushing harder to create a much-needed hubbub
around environmental issues and the individual's ability to engage and make
some change. We believe that a free, accessible and downright vivacious opening
weekend in Hackney's very own Gillett Square in London will do just that.

Imagine if you will, stalls showcasing the very best of local green business, oodles of ethically sourced food and drink, a catwalk of the very best in ethical fashion, poetry that pulls at the heartstrings, live performance parading in the summer warmth AND to top it all off...an

open air screening of a feature length film with a very topical environmental issue at it's core.

This weekend of unabashed environmental festive fancy is one of the steps we are taking to ensure that this year's UK Green Film Festival is bigger than the last and accessible to all. Yes - we are film but our mission is universal. We are keen to draw an increasingly diverse crowd, the messages apply to us all and we want all to be there. With the success of this year's Gillett Square event, we will be in a strong position to repeat the experience year on year so we can continue to support local business, green film and, at the heart of it all, planet Earth.

We need to raise some extra funds to put this weekend on. The UK Green Film Festival is a

not-for-profit organisation and is currently run by a team of committed volunteers. Can you help us by pledging on our Kickstarter Campaign here?? http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2137572672/uk-green-film-festival-love-green-london-2013 Or perhaps you could spread the word amongst your peers, friends and contacts?

We passionately believe in Green, in our festival and in this event BUT we really do need your help.
