This year I am going to give practical, useful gifts vs. the fluff I sometimes end up buying. I came across this list from Greenhome.com talking about energy saving gifts. I purchased the solar wreath and it looks great on my door! Because it is solar powered, I do not have to worry about turning the lights on or off, which definitely saves me time and energy.

Also a good find was the wind up radio, flashlight and phone charger, which I'm hoping my husband will enjoy. I think it'll be the prefect accessory to the hiking trips he has been taking with our son.
