How did you celebrate World Carfree Day?

Recommended Posts

The president of South Korea biked to work. Nearly 30,000 cyclists took to the streets of Taiwan's capital. European cities asked their residents to keep cars parked for the good of the planet. An EU spokeswoman says that some 200 million people from more than 1,650 cities in 37 countries participated in some way in World Carfree Day. Did you?

For me personally, every day is a carfree day. :)

I think this happened last September if my memory serves me right. Just like everyone else. I gave up using my car to work and just went on by train and walked with my wife.

This year's event is Monday, 22-SEP. I'll make sure to work from home or take the bus and light rail that day. So far my metro area's transit page doesn't reflect any awareness of this. Are other people reaching out to publicize it?
