China’s biggest online star is a young woman who shares videos of her rural life and self-sufficient living. Li Ziqi is a chef and former migrant worker who has become one of the country’s most famous internet celebrity after she moved back to the countryside to take care of her grandmother. Millions of people watch as she grows and picks ingredients from her farm and nearby forest, constructs furniture by hand, makes her own clothes, cooking and preparing a variety of delicious meals from local sources.
