Solar power will take over soon

The surface of the Earth receives an amount of solar energy equivalent to roughly 10 000 times the worlds energy demand. Of course there isn't always sunlight, but the solar panels can store the energy, and they are getting better and better at it. A solar panel converts one sixth of the sunlight into electrical energy. Although they also are getting able to turn more and more of the sunlight into energy, they are already so efficient that space isn't much of an issue anymore. The area of solar cells needed to supply a family with electricity is usually much smaller than the roof of their house. And when including the land required for mining and excavation of coal, CPS-plants (power-plants that rely on solar energy) are more space-efficient than power-plants fueled by coal. Solar power is roughly fifty times as space-efficient as growing crops for bio fuels. And that's just with the technology that currently is commercialized.

The clip bellow shows the best parts of the documentary Here comes the sun and is well worth taking a look at:

I believe that solar panels are an excellent way to provide clean, green and renewable energy to power a wide variety of devices. The power from solar panels is strong, reliable and easy to maintain. And on top of that it is also good for our environment.

I agree, solar energy IS the future. The only problem that I can see with solar energy at this is the cost of actually making the change, it's still a bit too expensive for some people (like me), that being said I've been reading some news that there are solar energy companies that are actually doing a bit of research http://www.buildsolar.net/solar-energy/solar-energy-companies-assisting-your-choices-to-your-advantage/ into developing cheaper solar panels.

The energy that reaches the Earth from the sun is enormous. The total reserves of energy that is stored in all of Earth’s reserves of fossil fuels like coal, petroleum, and natural gas are matched by only 20 days of sunshine.

I think the source of energy is down here and up there, if we are running out of fossil fuel to power up machine we still have alternative energy source up there. We just need to lift up our head and see what the sunlight can do, I mean solar energy. It’s a great energy source that we may use with the help of solar panels, we just need to be practical.
