Attack on critical mass in Brazil

Last week an angry motorist mowed down a large group of bicyclists who participated in a critical mass event in Porto Alegre, Brazil (see video below). According to the Urban Country the attack left at least 15 riders injured and 8 people was sent to a nearby hospital ER. The driver has been arrested and may now face attempted murder charges. About 150 people participated in the critical mass event.

No matter what one think of critical mass events this is just awful! How could anyone in their right mind speed into a crowd of people? Our car fetish is truly sickening.
