I work for Ranpak Corp., an environmentally friendly packaging company, which uses 100% recyclable, renewable and reusable paper to protect products during shipment. Many other packing material options like petroleum-based expanded polystyrene foam peanuts or air-filled plastic cushioning are recyclable, but usually require special recycling methods and are not nearly as easily recyclable as paper.
