It has come to my attention that Marco Piazzalunga, a young passionate eco-activist and an active member of this community, passed away on September 25. Marco’s mother writes that he would have turned 16 this December if he had not decided to end his own life on the first day of school.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the death of Piazzalunga. He always seemed like a clever, kind and strong-willed individual. I am sure he would have done a lot of good in this world.

Piazzalunga will be missed by everyone in this community. His family and friends will be in our thoughts and prayers.
