  1. I think it would help. The more people, the more fossil fuels used. If more people want to have 20 kids, like the Duggars, then maybe we should work harder in replacing fossil fuels with renewable alternatives for our energy needs. The Duggars should take an active role since they're polluting the place! Is there really a need to have so many kids? Is it just for celebrity and money?

Some people really have too much money and too much free time

  2. it's really not that simple.i had an ultrasound scan with one of my children at 4 month.the baby was jumping up and down.so if you have an abortion at that stage you would kill another life.just because it comes from your own body doesn't make it right.on the other hand if it's in the early stages before the fetus is properly developed i would think it to be my right to abort .but apart from being risky it's also can be quite traumatic.you'd be always thinking who the baby would have been.having an unwanted baby isn't to be taken lightly, you'll be stuck with it for the rest of your life.

Yeah, here in portugal the law says women can only do an abortion till the 10th week

Welcome to the forum Janji :)

  3. It seems you wont be able to eat fruits anymore either, at least not from the Dole Fresh Vegetables company:

"Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. and Monsanto Co. have entered into an agreement to develop new products that will "enhance consumer vegetable choices," according to the companies. The five-year agreement will focus on broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce and spinach. Any new products developed through the agreement will be commercialized by Dole in North America.

Plant breeding techniques will be used to improve the nutrition, flavor, color, texture, taste and aroma of the vegetables. Monsanto's role in the collaboration will be to improve the development of new and beneficial vegetable characteristics. Their efforts will be guided by Dole's knowledge of consumer needs and marketing.

"Dole prides itself on innovation and bringing consumers high quality, nutritious and great-tasting products," said Roger Billingsley, senior vice-president of research and development for Dole Fresh Vegetables. "We are looking forward to collaborating closely with Monsanto to do just that." "

They would taste better if they were completely natural

  4. Happy St. John's day :D

    Happy Midsummer!! :cute:

We dont actually celebrate it here, it's not a popular day... No kind of tradition to celebrate it. :/

Hope you all have a great time whatever you do ^^

Here is very celebrated in some cities like mine. Everybody goes out to the street to celebrate, i think that there are more people on the street on St John's night than on new year's, it's like if the entire down town streets were an overcrowded disco.

  5. I saw a commercial today on Planet Green for an eco-bottle. The commercial gave a few reasons why you shouldn't buy plastic bottles including the hazards of recycling them. They mentioned the hazard of recycling plastic bottles is the pollution emitted into the atmosphere from the recycling process. Does anyone know if this is true or just a bunch of bunk to sell their bottle?

Well dunno, recycling plastic is a very complex process http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plastic_recycling#Processing

  6. Spanish bullfighting fans witnessed the ultimate ring horror on Wednesday when matador Israel Lancho was gored. According to press reports, Lancho had a 25 centimeter-deep stomach wound that surgeons operated on. He's now said to be in serious condition.

Watch the video and see the photos (warning, this is graphic): http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/05/28/i...l_n_208906.html
