Free Streamed Music

Recommended Posts

Spotify is a new way to enjoy music. Simply download and install, before you know it you’ll be singing along to the genre, artist or song of your choice. With Spotify you are never far away from the song you want.

There are no restrictions in terms of what you can listen to or when. Forget about the hassle of waiting for files to download and fill up your hard drive before you get round to organising them. Spotify is instant, fun and simple.

Because music is social, Spotify allows you to share songs and playlists with friends, and even work together on collaborative playlists, Friday afternoon in the office might never be the same again! We’re music lovers like everyone else.

We want to connect millions of people with their favorite songs by creating a product that people love to use. We respect creativity and believe in fairly compensating artists for their work. We’ve cleared the rights to use the music you’ll listen to in Spotify.

It's pretty decent actually. Not much advertisement either so far. And it's Swedish. ;)

I got 2 invitations. So just post here if you want one! :)

Ahh I was just waiting for that comment ;). They have said they will come up with a Linux version.. Under the meantime you can use Spotify under Wine?

Why does it have to use a "specialist" application, whats wrong with .ogg, or MP3?

I have a 2000 CD single (will not admit by who) which has a quicktime video on it. I tried playing it on the Mac once, it would not work in OSX, I had to open OS9 to run this "out of date" technology :o

Shame you did not hear of the many great and glorious CDs/albums I have.

So, you do have the Wurzels? ;-)

Point is, others should not be able to make what we have paid for obsolete.

You could say the same thing about cars for which parts are no longer made, Polaroid Instamatic Cameras for which film is no longer made or VHS players for which movies are no longer released. Progress!
