  1. I conserve energy in many ways: - By turning off unused lights. - Using a power regulator. - When charging making sure to remove the charger from the outlet when battery is full. - Use fabric conditioner so you seldom use flat iron for your clothes. - Use coal to cook or grill food or boil water. Those are some of my inherited ways, what about yours?
  2. Burning fossil fuels such as natural gas, coal, oil and gasoline raises the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, and carbon dioxide is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect and global warming. You can help to reduce the demand for fossil fuels, which in turn reduces global warming, by using energy more wisely. Here are 10 simple actions you can take to help reduce global warming. 1. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle 2. Use Less Heat and Air Conditioning 3. Change a light bulb 4. Drive less and drive smart 5. Buy Energy-Efficient Products 6. Use Less Hot Water 7. Use the "Off" Switch 8. Plant a tree 9. Get a Report Card from your Utility Company 10. Encourage Others to Conserve To read more, please refer to this link: http://environment.a...balwarmtips.htm - I found this article helpful in reducing Global Warming so thought I'd share it with you guys.

  4. How are you today?

I'm currently working and I feel very bored. I wish I can just go home and be with my precious daughter and play with her. :(
  5. How do you stay fit?

I don't have time to go to the gym so what I do is walk, do my exercise at home and eat a balanced diet. Part of the diet is being conscious with my calorie intake. I make sure I follow my routine everyday so I stay fit and healthy.
  6. I as much as possible, conserve water, energy and recycle things. The most important thing for me is to teach my daughter how to value and not waste water, energy and resources. I just feel that the practice does not end with me and that I need to pass it on. I still hope that everyone in unity will help save Mother Earth.

  10. What are the plants in your yard?

I live in an apartment so I can't grow vegetables but in my parent's house we have a big yard where we can plant eggplant, watermelon, tomatoes, potatoes and lettuce. I love to see those veggies grow. It makes me excited to really know that's what they look like.
  11. I believe everything is predetermined by God but due to our free will, things change according to our decisions and the choices we make. With whatever we choose, there's a consequence. Though I believe in what the Bible says "All things work together for good (Romans 8:28).
  12. What are your favorite foods?

My favorite food is anything Chinese and Mexican. I love eating pasta too and one of the best is beef ravioli. I always have vegetables on my diet but there are times when I crave for the food I love to eat. Pizza is an occasional favorite. Chocolate is best after every meal (though I tend not to do that everday - it makes me fat). Coffee on a stressful day and Tea before I sleep. Comfort food? -- ICE CREAM! It always work on stress for me but kills my diet .. lol

Thank you all for your warm welcome! I have indeed learned some cool stuff. Hope to share with everyone :)
  17. How can we improve this community?

If the post helps, there is a thank you button right below a person's post. Just like the concept of "green" arrow up and "red" arrow down. I think it serves the same purpose.
  18. The reputation system

I agree to keep this reputation system. At least we know the negatives and the positives then use that for improvement later on.
  19. Do you use bicycle?

For short distance, I would prefer walking than riding. For long distance, I prefer public transportation than driving. I never thought of purchasing a bicycle since it is too hazardous for long distance but maybe would consider for short distance.
  20. How can we improve this community?

I like the design of the blog, green represents nature. How about a thank you button and a Facebook Like button? :)
  21. Green Lifestyle

My mother taught me how to reuse water and I agree, reusing water for cleaning toilets, cleaning hallways and bathing dogs are one way of saving our environment. We also don't throw plastic bags right away, we reuse them to segregate biodegradable from non-biodegradable trash then dispose them. Before when my daughter was still infant, I use cloth diapers during day and only use disposable diapers during the night. :)
  22. Why others do not believe in global warming?

I think there are just people who are not conscious with the environmental changes. I personally believe in Global warming. In this earth, we reap what we sow so that is basically it. We reap what humanity sow in nature. Sad but true.
  23. Which is the real problem: Overconsumption or overpopulation?

In my opinion, over population is the cause of over comsumption. Of course mouths need food to eat, bodies need clothes to wear and also shelter. My thoughts on this is to recycle and economize our usage of things so others can still make use of it. Like for example water, if we can use pails instead of taking a shower, why not. If we can turn off taps while brushing and use glass then that would be a great deal of help. Just my thoughts. :)
  24. What do you collect?

I used to collect stamps, coins and stationary when I was in high school but all those were lost when we transferred homes. I was misplaced and I stopped collecting them ever since. I was discouraged and sad. :(
  25. Do you smoke?

No, I don't smoke anymore. I used to smoke way back in college. When I found out I was pregnant, I immediately stopped (unrealistic but true). My father and mother doesn't smoke so I also want to give that smoke free environment to my child. We all know that secondary smoke is more dangerous than first hand so I wouldn't gamble my daughter's health. As much as possible, we also go to smoke-free areas.
