Noise pollution "may be stressful to wildlife"

Noise pollution could be a problem too:

"Setting up temporary recording stations in 20 different locations, technicians say that there's virtually no place left in America that's untouched by ambient human noise - and that this may be stressful to wildlife."

I can see how the noise pollution (i.e. sound of the airplane) could be disturbing. It's not only disturbing to animals, but also humans. The same is for when a person lives by the train tracks. However, I know this is not just about us humans. This world is about the animals. I wonder if they could go deaf from the noises? Do birds and other animals have more sensitive ears? (If there was something in the article I missed about that part of it, I am sorry in advance. I skimmed it kind of fast.)

Definitely true that noise pollution could stress wild life as we humans are also stressed by it.

It might not be on top of the problem list but it was sure a problem. And also since some animal creatures have more sensitive hearing, it could affect them more than us.

That study doesn't even need research, its simple logic that no animal would want to stay in or near a noisy place. Animals are peaceful creatures and the only noise they know is the waterfall, and when they are eating. Noise pollution and human so called development where by they build houses next to the wild parks has send the animals away.

I can quite believe this because I know how it feels when I want a little peace and quite. As a human I am pretty used to many unusual noises, but animals in the wild are not. The only noise they may hear is each other, rain or thunderstorms. Anything else, vehicles, planes etc would be disturbing. This is sure to bring on stress because they don't know what it is.
