You can now see your own avatar next to your comments here on Green Blog. You can see an example here.
If you have a MyBlogLog or Gravatar account and you have filled in the correct information in the comment form your avatar will show up next to your comment name with a link back to your website and account. Isn’t that nifty or what!?
Update: If you want to use this feature on your own WordPress blog you will need to install the MyAvatars plugin.

Some of you might have saw that our blog and forum was down parts of Sunday and all day on Monday. The reason to this was that we moved Green Blog over to a new server that our current host had just got. The actual move went fast and without any errors. But it took some time for the DNS to change, around 24 hours. I am personally sorry for not letting everyone know this in advanced. But it all went so fast. We weren’t supposed to move until after the 9th of August.
Oh, and if you haven’t already. Please come by our forum and join in on the fun. We discuss everything from the effects of global warming, cigarettes, SEO, how you can live more green, the TV show 24 and of course green web hosts.

We are almost there! We have just launched our brand new site design (some small changes still needs to be made) as you can see. This one has a more nature and green feeling over it, don’t you think? And we have our old logo back up and running, after being a bit updated of course.
But we still have lot’s of things that needs to be done. For example we need to start our green community, re-write everything on the site, and add more content, guides and tips, tools and much more.
We are still looking for new team members that can contribute to this project.

Currently we are not looking for any new team members. But we are always looking for guest authors or people who would like to contribute to Green Blog on a regular basis. For more information check out our forum or contact us via email.
Green Blog is looking for people who would like to contribute. We especially need coders, designers, webmasters, writers and bloggers. But if you feel you just want to contribute in any way possible please contact us for more information. It doesn’t matter how old you are, from which country you come from or how good you code. We need people who can be dedicated and wanting to change this world to the better. It’s an extra plus if you already are a blogger.
But why do we need new team members? Well, we are planning on releasing Green Blog 2.0 in a very near future (hopefully before the end of the year). And to do this we need people who can contribute as much as possible to make the release of Green Blog 2.0 successful.
If you feel interested please contact us for more information. Thank you!

Hi everyone! It has gone a few weeks without anything heard from us here. We are sorry but the swedish summer is short and sweet and you just has to enjoy every minut of it. Oh well, enough of that. Let me tell you about something that we have been thinking about for a while now.
We want to help you make the right decision and help fight global warming. We also understand if you find it hard to move to a green host. Maybe you can’t afford to move from your free blog host or there might be something else. That is why we are planning on offering free environmental friendly WordPress blogs. Yes, you heard right, we want to give you acess to a green WordPress blog with all it’s great features, for free.
But it’s a long way until we actually can do this. That’s why we will soon invite a few blogger who wants to test out our service. If you feel you want to become a part of this beta testing please contact us or make a comment here in this post.
This is what you will get:
- The blog will be run on WordPress (”WordPress is a state-of-the-art semantic personal publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability.”).
- The blog will have spamfilter.
- You will be able to import blog posts and comments from Blogger, Blogware, DotClear, GreyMatter, LiveJournal, Movable Type and TypePad, Textpattern
and WordPress.
- You will be able to use your own domain name (ex: www.yourdomain.com)
- If you don’t have your own domain name we will set up a sub-domain for your blog. It will look like this: yourblogname.green-blog.org
This is what we require:
- You need to be an active blogger.
Please note that in return of this free service we will have one ad displayed on your blog.
Okay, those are the basic stuff. More information will be posted and listed. Please understand that we might or might not go all the way with this. It’s still one of our projects that we decided to go public with so that we could be able to hear your responses, ideas and feedback. If we don’t get enough “good” responses or if we think we won’t be able to fullfill this the project will be terminated closed (sounds better :)).
Stay tuned for more news about this!

Welcome to Green-Blog.org. This site’s goal is to spread knowledge of global warming among the blogosphere and to help fight it.
There are so many ways you as a blogger can help to increase the awareness of global warming and help stopping its worst effects.
One way, and this way is really what Green Blog is all about, is to choose a green web host. We will tell you what kind of options you can choose from and what green web hosting is really all about.
Our work has just begun and we would love to hear from you with ideas and opinions about how this site can help spreading the “green” among fellow bloggers and webmasters.
