Last week we asked you here on the blog to take contact with a “dirty” web host and ask them what they do or what they are planning to do to help fight global warming. Thanks for all the responses, keep them coming!
Here are a few of the responses you guys and girls have sent us:
HostGator
Please wait for a HostGator operator to respond.
Welcome to HostGator Live Chat! You are now chatting with ‘Cody’
Cody: Welcome to HostGator, how may I assist you?
Josh: Hi
Josh: I am looking around for a new web host. Hostgator looks perfect but before I decide anything I would like to know what you, as a company do to help stop global warming?
Cody: One moment please.
Josh: Sure.
Cody: I really don’t know of anything we do as a company to stop global warming.
Josh: Ohhh. Thats to bad. :/
Josh: Then I guess Hostgator is not an option for me. Thank you for your time.
Cody: Well I’m sorry to hear that, we just don’t really have anything organized at this time.
Cody: But I will pass this along to our management.
Josh: That would be a good idea Cody, thanks.
Aplus.net
matti: Welcome to Aplus.Net! I would be happy to answer any questions that you have. We can chat online or you can call me at 1-877-275-8763 ext 1662.
Visitor80798: Hi, I am looking around for a new web host. Aplus looks perfect but before I decide anything I would like to know what you, as a company does to help stop global warming?
matti: hi
matti: We often participate in programs to help victims of floods and hurricanes. I am not aware that we have participated in any global warming program
matti: why are you interested in global warming programs, when you search for a new host ?
Visitor80798: My site wants to try keeping a good profile when it comes to being green. We don’t want to be part of the problem and rather help out as much as possible. There for I am looking for a “green” web host.
Visitor80798: Does Aplus have any future plans in going “green”?
Blog Hosts
I recently asked 2 free Portuguese blog hosts what they were doing to stop global warming. And both them didn’t answer to the question. They both avoid to answer, by replying that they hadn’t the knowledge to do it.

I am not sure what you mean by a “Dirty” web host, but just to follow up on your post.
Cody did pass it on. We work very hard to do what we can for the environment.
HostGator does care about the environment and are taking steps to prevent climate change. HostGator has gone green and looks to be leading the web hosting industry in the greening concept.
